Background information
In the European team for Customer Development (CD) of Ice Cream Out of Home (OOH), there is an interesting new (international) internship available.
The OOH Europe team is responsible for growing the Out of Home (B2B) Ice Cream businesses around Europe. The Out of Home channel (e.g., cinemas, bars, petrol stations, convenience stores, leisure parks, swimming pools, etc.) is one of Unilever’s most important channels to win in. The European CD OOH team provides consultancy services to OOH country leaders, initiates capability projects, ensures best practice sharing between countries, and leads several big ice cream projects. The team operates at the crossroad of marketing and sales, interacting with country marketing and sales teams, European brand teams and with several other stakeholders like the Global CD team, R&D, Procurement, etc.
As an intern, you will report to the European Ice Cream Out of Home Manager, and in this role you will be responsible for contributing to several cross-discipline projects.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
•Contribute to the professionalization of the European Customer Marketing Community
•Collect and review all trade and customer communication across countries
•Contribute to the Visibility Centre of Excellence; ensure visibility materials orders for 2017 are placed in time and are landing in the marketplace in the right channels and customers, in time for the 2017 IC season
•Contribute to the implementation of the Weather Planning Analytics project that will allow countries to understand better the weather impact in different areas of the country. Ensure country implementation and ensure maximum usage for marketing activation agenda for 2017
•Collect best practices (internally and externally) on consumer promotions at POS (outlet) level and make implementation proposal for local markets
•Provide ad-hoc financial support to the team and to the Finance Business Partner (e.g monthly results reporting & team budget management)
Skills & Experience
•You are internationally oriented;
•You have proven project management skills;
•You are a Bachelor/Master student, or recent graduate with a great interest in Marketing;
•You are interested to gain experience in the FMCG industry on a corporate headquarters level;
•You are open, proactive, and not afraid to take initiative;
•You are very organized and structured;
•You are communicative and comfortable with virtual contact (i.e. by telephone or Skype);
•You are looking for an internship for work experience;
•You are looking for a full time (40 hours/week) internship for six months, starting from mid-August
