A successful operating company of FrieslandCampina, FrieslandCampina Domo provides high quality ingredients for the global Infant & Toddler nutrition industry. From whey, our main raw material source, we produce high quality spray-dried single ingredients, ranging from demineralized whey powders,  hydrolysates, lactose, to Galacto-oligosaccharides. Domo R&D is organized in three product clusters: Human Milk Oligosaccharides, Hydrolysates and Intact Proteins. Domo R&D is organized in three product clusters: Human Milk Oligosaccharides, Hydrolysates and Intact Proteins. In each of these clusters we run our new product development projects, as well as projects to optimize our products & processes. For this internship  we offer you to participate in the running projects in one of the Clusters (to be agreed with you), offering you the opportunity to learn the complete product development cycle from start to finish, as well as the different product technologies and related processes. So, the content of the internship is not fixed, but dependent on the running projects in the clusters. The work can range from literature search & reporting, analyses, lab- and pilot trials to factory trials. You will be supervised by experienced Product Developers on a daily basis, but dependent on the work, as well as your skills, needs & entrepreneurship  you can work independently.  Along the way, you will often be responsible for planning and prioritizing your own work and dealing with deadlines. To apply, you will need to have knowledge on food science & technology, with a general interest in development and applications of food ingredients.

  • Evidence of studying towards a BSc or MSc in Food Science and Technology or similar
