Are you looking for a challenging finance internship in the energy market? Do you aim to work in an international team on complex topics and analysis? This is your chance!
Business Area Heat Netherlands consists of three units: district heating, generation and industry parks. The controlling team (30 employees) is acting in dynamic circumstances caused by changes both driven from internal continuous improvement ambition and changes initiated by the Vattenfall group or Business Area. Standardization of systems and processes will affect the organization and provides the team a big challenge.
We will be happy to welcome an intern to lead specific (change) projects for a period of 3-6 months. You will directly report to the Manager Finance.
Your main focus will be to lead a project to rationalize our internal control framework over two units and their main processes. Furthermore you will install an authorization model, avoiding conflict of duties for all three units fitting to the organizational structure.
The assignment is developed to provide an in-depth view on Business Area controlling activities:

You will be successful in this internship if you are capable to develop sustainable solutions in a short time frame. For this responsibility you need excellent analytical and communication skills. Furthermore you have are enthusiastic, ambitious, eager to learn and develop.
When confronted with complex cases, you don’t give up; on the contrary, you have lots of energy to find the best solution. Asking questions and being assertive are also soft skills you use to be successful.

If you do an internship you will be part of the internship network Voltage. Every month we organize an activity for our interns in the whole company. For example: application training, LinkedIn training, lunches and excursions (for example to the Nuon Solar Team).
There are also monthly sports, cultural and social activities from the MegaWatt network (this is the young employees network in Vattenfall) you can join.
These are all moments to do sparring with each other about your different experiences within the company and hear more about the organization. It’s also good for your network!
Vattenfall offers a fixed compensation of 500 euro per month.
