The dedicated Transfer Pricing team comprising of tax lawyers, economists and analysts, works closely together with Corporate Tax, VAT & Customs experts as well as lawyers focusing on IP/IT and Commercial contracts, engaging with colleagues across the globe and offering integrated advice and innovative business solutions to our global clientsWe are involved in strategizing, planning and anticipating the evolution of the operating model of multinational enterprises. Job Description

With the current international debate regarding taxes being paid by multinationals, and transfer pricing being at the core of this debate and related developments, there will be an increased focus on how multinationals set their transfer prices. Therefore, Baker McKenzie is seeking to expand its Transfer Pricing team with a junior Transfer Pricing economist. Our new colleague will be working on financial and market research, cash flow modelling, company and value chain analyses, financial statement and credit rating analyses, in support of transfer pricing studies and valuation analyses. The job requires highly developed analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to work collaboratively and "intellectual curiosity" at the same time.

The Transfer Pricing team supports clients in the design, structuring and pricing of cross-border intercompany services and finance transactions. The team conducts functional/economic analyses, drafts global transfer pricing documentation and performs valuations for tax purposes. The team has experience in numerous industries with the design and implementation of transfer pricing systems as well as supply chain restructuring advice. The team drafts, files and negotiates Advance Pricing Agreements, designs and supports intercompany financing structures and assists with mutual agreement procedures, audit defence and tax litigation. The team is known for its thought leadership and involvement at a (global) tax policy level; its members regularly provide input to tax policy positions at OECD, EU, UN and local tax authorities’ level. Additionally, International Tax Review awarded the group "Netherlands Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year" in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2015.   • Master degree in Economics, Finance or Business Administration (specialization in finance or economics);
  • 0-2 years working experience in a corporate or consultancy environment;
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written (additional language skills are a plus);
  • Good organizational and communication skills;
  • Performs well under pressure;
  • Accuracy/attention to details;
  • (Advanced) economic or financial modelling skills (MS Excel and/or VBA); and
  • Experience with Data Analysis and Statistical Software (e.g., Stata, SPSS) is a plus.
